SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 2, 2025) — The California State Fair is spotlighting excellence in the state’s cannabis industry with the return of the California Cannabis Experience, an official exhibition featuring award-winning cannabis brands, interactive education, and a licensed retail and consumption lounge for adults 21 and over.
California State Fair Recognizes 181 Cannabis Products at 2025 Awards Showcase
Produced in partnership with CalExpo, Fair Play Ventures, Embarc Events, and the California State Fair, the event runs from July 11–27, 2025 at the Cal Expo fairgrounds in Sacramento.
This year’s California Cannabis Awards celebrated 181 total winners across licensed product categories. Awards were presented based on certified laboratory results submitted by more than 600 licensed entries across California’s adult-use market.

🧪 Chemistry-Driven Evaluation
Rather than strain name or brand popularity, the awards focused on measurable terpene and cannabinoid content, including dominant compounds such as Limonene, Myrcene, and Caryophyllene. Products were categorized by type and tested data, allowing for objective, lab-based recognition of diversity and innovation across California’s regulated cannabis supply chain.

- Consumption Lounge Hours: The licensed consumption area will be open from 4 pm -9:30 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. and from 10 am – 9:30 pm on Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays for all 17 days of the California State Fair.
